Calezzo è un piccolo paesello antico adagiato sulla pendice della montagna. È situato in una stretta valle chiamata Centovalli, il cui nome indica la peculiare morfologia del territorio ricco di curve e valli ripide che si trova nella parte meridionale della Svizzera; la regione porta il nome di Canton Ticino.
Nel mezzo di un ripido sentiero che porta da Calezzo a Intragna (La Via dei Mulini), ti appare: il vecchio mulino, costruito da pietre dalle fondamenta al tetto, che si affaccia sulle acque tumultuose che un tempo lo facevano funzionare. Un caratteristico ponte romano completa la vista e potresti semplicemente rimanere lì ad ascoltare l’acqua scorrere lungo la valle e gli uccelli cantare. Assolutamente tranquillo.

Calezzo is a tiny old village attached to the mountain slope. It’s situated in a narrow valley called Centovalli, which name indicates the peculiar morphology of the territory full of curves and steep valleys that is to be found in the southern part of Switzerland; the region is called Canton Ticino. In the middle of a steep path leading from Calezzo to Intragna (Via dei Mulini) it appears to you: this old mill made essentially of stones from the bottom up to the rooftop that overlooks the tumbling waters who used to make it work. A beautiful Roman bridge completes the view and you could just stay there and listen to the water flowing down the valley and the birds singing. Absolutely peaceful.
